Announcing Our Whole Person Wellness Center
Whole Person Wellness is more than just a set of activities, but rather a philosophy that calls for a personalized nurturing of the mind, body and soul. The philosophy of wellness has been shown to benefit seniors in many ways, ranging from increased cognitive functioning, increased mobility, decreased use of medication, decreased anxiety and depression, decreased hospital visits and an overall enhancement of independence and quality of life.
The Whole Person Wellness Center is open to current residents at Norwood Crossing and is also available for individuals in their Medicare or rehabilitation needs. The next generation of seniors will demand wellness as a way of life and Norwood Crossing is proactively responding to these demands. Our Whole Person Wellness Center prepares us to serve not only current but future residents for years to come. Come see for yourself - schedule a tour TODAY!

WAYS TO GIVE
You may give to a particular area of the Wellness Center or to support the project as a whole. Gifts given in honor or in memory of a loved one will be appropriately acknowledged.
Cash Gifts: Cash gifts make an immediate positive impact on our ability to serve our residents. In fact, giving cash has never been easier! Just click the 'Donate' button above and you are on your way. If you prefer to write a check, that's fine too. Please make checks payable to 'Norwood Life Care Foundation' and send them to 6016-20 N. Nina Avenue, Chicago, IL 60631.
Pledges: Gifts may be pledged over a maximum of five years. Donors may deduct the amount of the actual gift given in a particular year, rather than the total pledged amount.
Appreciated Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities are welcomed by the Norwood Life Care Foundation. Typically, investments that you have owned for longer than one year may be deducted at their current value.
IRA Gifts: It is expected that lawmakers will soon be meeting to extend a provision which allows donors who are 70 ½ or older to contribute up to $100,000 per year from their IRA directly to an eligible charity without having to pay income taxes on the money. A couple with separate IRAs could each give up to that amount. Note that the withdrawal must go directly from the IRA to the charity. Individuals who are required to take unneeded IRA withdrawals may find the provision of particular interest.
Please see your financial advisor for legal or tax guidance regarding how current laws may affect your personal charitable contribution.
