Marge Mulligan
Dr. Larsandrew Dolan Award - 2001

Marge grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and attended Austin High School. When Marge married Joseph Mulligan the couple moved to Norwood Park and was introduced to Norwood Crossing.

For more than three decades, Marge was an active volunteer joining the Women’s Service League in 1968 and serving on the Board of Directors from 1970 until 1985 with Joseph, her husband of 46 years. Whether Marge was supervising a fundraising event, working a booth at the Annual Picnic, managing the Foundation’s resale shop or addressing an issue that came before the Board, she always demonstrated patience, understanding and a tireless pursuit of excellence. But, perhaps her greatest strength was her ability to involve others by nurturing a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie. This ability led to many successful endeavors that helped raise funds to improve Norwood Crossing for the residents, always Marge’s first priority.

At the 2002 Alle Venner (All Friends) reception, the Norwood Crossing lobby was posthumously dedicated the Mulligan Lobby in remembrance and tribute to Marge and her husband Joe for their devoted service and generous legacy to Norwood Life Care Foundation.
